Has google gone to sleep?
Following the article on Keyword Association Manipulation that I posted last week, I thought I'd have a look to see how it's fairing in google. A search for the phrase (in quotes) picked up no results in google. I tried the same again in Bing and Yahoo, and the page is listed in both of them at the top of the results. Google is also incorrectly listing the old text for the page title of the home page as 'Cleethorpes Web design, Lincolnshire SEO, Grimsby e-commerce' , whereas Bing and Yahoo are both correctly listing it as 'Lincolnshire SEO, Grimsby e-commerce,
I've done experiments before about how Yahoo is faster at indexing new content than Google or Bing in the Clotcud experiment I ran a few weeks ago. This just demonstrates how much better Yahoo and Bing are at keeping up to date with website updates. Maybe google should spend less time trying to get 'real time search' by indexing millions of pointless ramblings in twitter, and get on with keeping their main index up to date like the other big players do.
