One of the truisms about SEO is that the person who gets there first, usually gets to the top of the rankings. For example, a few weeks ago, I posted a couple of blog posts about Internet Explorer 10. Now, if you look in Google at the phrase 'Internet Explorer 10' , or even just 'IE10' then both blog posts are on page 1. This is quite remarkable considering that there are 301 million results (at the time of writing)  when you google Internet Explorer 10.

I'm sure this effect won't last after the Beta version of IE10 is released. Then all the big online technology and news websites will be talking about it, and my pages will be pushed way down the rankings. But in the meantime, I'm up there with the big guys. I guess google loves me.
