Yahoo is the fastest to get new content. - Cloecud / Clotcud experiment
Recently i did a little experiment. I wanted to see which search engine would be the fastest to find a new invented word. This word was Cloecud. The word appears if you boot an android phone upside down and looks like either cloecud or clotcud.
Before I started the experiment, i checked the 3 main search engines to see how many results there are for the words Cloecud and Clotcud. They all had just one hit to this twitter post posted originally in december 2008. The other word, "Cloecud" has no results in any search engines, so I decided this would be a good candidate for the experiment.
The results are now in and the winner of fastest indexing of "Cloecud" is Yahoo. There is still no results in google for "Cloecud", and no relevent result in Bing for "Cloecud" (except for some gibberish code in a badly converted .qub file).
The race is on to see who is in second place. My money is on Bing who seems to get fresh content more quickly than google these days. I google spent less time indexing pointless twitter posts and more time doing real search engine spidering, maybe SEO would be a bit easier for us.
The second place will be announced when Bing and Google finally get around to finding this page.
