Medical Marketing and Medical Advertising
Blue Medical are now number 1 in google for Medical Advertising out of 207 million results- now higher than our rival Create Marketing [link omitted on purpose]. This was not the primary keyword we tried to focus on, we were working on Medical Marketing and although were are now ranked number 2 out of 88 million results, it's still not number 1, despite the fact that the domain is quite old, there are about 14,000 backlinks, and the site has a page rank of 4. This domain has had the highest amount of SEO on it of all of our websites. When the new site comes online in the next couple of weeks, there should be some improvement in the rankings. The new site has much better SEO built in, and hopefully will give us that little push it needs to be at number 1 for 'medical marketing'. Site traffic is already 50% higher than this time last month, and the number of online enquires have increased accordingly.
The only downside is that we were in the top 3 in google for Medical Websites - however we changed the focus of the SEO from websites to the more general marketing keywords, so inevitably, medical websites has dropped to page 2, whilst advertising and marketing have improved greatly.
I've just submitted the site the DMOZ again, its been quite a few months since I last tried and nothing has happened, so it's worth trying again in a different category with slightly different text.
Out of interest, I tried putting into google 'Medical SEO' and found that the Blue Medical site does not rank in the first few pages, however my article on SEO zooming does appear on the first page of google. How it got there I don't know. Sometime the google dance comes up with some very interesting results. My theory is that the google caffeine upgrade has now been pushed through which is why the rankings have changed so suddenly.
