There's some talk in the SEO camp recently about Google Guru. Apparently this is a revamped version of the Google Answers service that was closed down in 2006, which allowed Yahoo a rare opportunity to outfox Google with the Yahoo Answers service (one of the few useful services that Yahoo still maintain).

Google Guru has been around in Russia since 2007 and some people believe it could be due for more general launch early 2010. Details are sketchy on this at the minute, but if it does come into being, there will be a lot of SEO opportunities that may arise from Google Guru, especially if you manage to get an 'expert' status on the system.

Personally, I think that there is the possiblity that Guru is being rolled out on the back of Google Wave, there are a lot of possible parallels between the two systems, and the ability to ask expert opinion on the Wave is quite an interesting prospect.
