iPad contenteditable property in iOS5

There are more and more reports that iOS5 will support the contenteditable property. This will allow the iPad and iPhones to use rich text editors and will allow people to use web editing systems like Drupal, Wordpress and Joomla (and my own CMS system - SiteControlSystem) to update their websites. It's quite likely that the major CMS providers will start adding ipad and iphone support, possibly using browser detection to open the editor area full screen, and having larger buttons.

Release details for iOS5 are still closely guarded. The current thinking is that iOS5 will be released on the new iPhone 5 around October 7. Some reports suggest that there might also be an updated iPhone 4 with iCloud support around September 7 (tomorrow). The next generation iPad 3 is expected early 2012 which will allow Apple to shift some units of iPad 2 for the Christmas season. It's the iPad 3 which will be the most desired iOS5 format since it will be quite difficult to use rich text editors in an iPhone, even if the iPhone 5 has a bigger screen size and a smaller border.

Guess I'd better start making some iPad stylesheets for my CMS then, I've only got a few months to sort it out.
