Sonic the Hedgehog is 20 years old today. First appearing on the Sega Megadrive, Sonic was the rival to Nintendo's Mario franchise, however the popularity of Sonic has waned in recent years, whilst Mario is still going strong with new Mario titles being released on the WII and DSi all the time. It's not all bad news though, Sonic and Mario at the London Olympic games will be out soon, so you can still enjoy that little blue hedgehog.
