Apple and Google to dominate smartphone market
More and more we're seeing converging opinions that in the near future, Android and iOS will continue to gain market share, leaving the likes of Nokia and Blackberry to catch up. Blackberry has seen it's market share go from 80% pre-iphone era down to 30% today. RIM is likely to continue in a more niche business market, but the consumer base will be split between apple and google. (however recent reports have indicated that Blackberry is actually making a comeback as is more popular that the iphone in the US)

As a result of the proliferation of internet enabled phones, websites have seen a significant increase in traffic share from mobile devices. The number of mobile browsers hitting websites is still less than 2% of the total market share, but that number is creepting up, and as lifestyle patterns, faster 4G connections and more mobile enabled websites come online, that share is going to inexorably climb.
