Bing search share up
The latest statistics show that Bing's share of the search market rose by 1% last month. While not a significant figure in itself, it is the gradual erosion of Google's search dominance that has led to google now getting less than 2 thirds of the search market for the first time since Bing was launched (according to Hitwise Data).
These figures are based on hitwise's collation of data from us search metrics. Another measure by StatCounter gives google a far larger share and Bing a far smaller share. What is interesting to note though is that last month, the search engine share for Google was the second lowest figure since August 2009. Bing and Yahoo have remained relatively stable for the last couple of years.
